Braeger saves the Western Days parade!

There's a difference between being a citizen and being a good citizen, and Braeger is dedicated to being a good corporate citizen.
Every year, for the last 41, West Allis, Wisconsin has been home to one of the largest non-motorized parades in the country--the Western Days parade. Sadly, the streak was about to end at 40. That is, it was about to end until Todd Reardon, our owner, stepped in and donated $30,000 to make sure the streak continued.
As late as March 7th, the fate of the Western Days parade was still up in the air. "[West Allis Charities] was expected to announce today that it can no longer fund the parade without jeopardizing its charitable endeavors," reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel here.
Fortunately, less than one month later, they were able to change their tune. On April 3rd they reported: "Marge Larson, the parade chairman, said Saturday that a timely donation from Braeger Automotive had saved the parade, which is one of the largest non-motorized parades in the nation and features antique carriages, wagons and horse groups." From here.
To make sure that the Western Days parade is secure for many years down the road, Braeger has also offered to donate $250 to the Western Days parade fund each time a customer takes delivery of a new car and asks us to donate to the parade. Sales Manager Kevin Melsha adds that "this is a great way for Braeger to help the people of West Allis protect the future of the parade they care about."
"We're proud and grateful to be a part of this community, and I am glad we had the opportunity to repay some of the kindness the people of West Allis have always shown to us," said Reardon.
And I'm proud to be a member of an organization dedicated to serving the community that serves us.
