Western Days 2006!

Well, Braeger did it again! Once more, the West Allis Western Days parade was in danger of not happening, and Braeger saved the day!

After our support last year for this, the largest non-motorized parade in the United States, Braeger wasn't going to let it end now. So we stepped in and made a tremendous difference. Throughout the year we offered West Allis residents an opportunity to help out too. Any time a West Allis resident bought a car from Braeger, if they chose, we would donate $250 to West Allis Charities, the organizers of the Western Days' events.

The program was successful beyond our wildest dreams! Braeger ultimately donated approximately $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars!) to West Allis Charities, ensuring a successful parade one more year.

We were sure excited, but we weren't the only ones! All along the 2.6 mile parade route people were stacked 5, 6, and sometimes even 7 rows deep to watch! It was incredible. I had the unique privilege of walking in the parade, and tossing candy out to the crowd, so I got to see the effects of the parade up close. Someone once said that you've done a good thing if you bring joy into even one person's life each day. On that evening, Braeger seemed to have helped bring joy, smiles, and laughter, to the lives of thousands.
